We are seeking a highly skilled Stereographer to join our team at Illumination Studios Paris. As a Stereographer, you will be responsible for defining and executing the technical and creative aspects of the final stereoscopic output for our films.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the compositing and 3D teams to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Attend stereo and camera polish review sessions with the Director, Stereographer Supervisor, and crew.
- Work in Maya to set up stereoscopic cameras and review Maya stereo playblasts in conjunction with Nuke for stereo composition.
- Handle Nuke tasks for stereo retakes and mentor compositing artists on stereo techniques.
- Closely collaborate with the Stereo Supervisor and Compositing Supervisor to prioritize shots, understand the overall brief and goals, and meet deadlines while effectively managing pressure.
- Experience and a strong understanding of 3D software packages used in digital film production, especially Maya.
- Experience with Nuke or other equivalent nodal compositing software is essential.
- Proficiency in Python for Maya and Nuke is a plus.
- Attention to detail, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, is essential.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Good communication skills and ability to take notes and directions.
- Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
