Your Role: Public Works Equipment MechanicAs a Public Works Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of a diverse range of mechanical equipment used in infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations and contribute to the successful completion of our ambitious endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and inspect equipment requiring maintenance or repair, ensuring all necessary tools and resources are available.
- Collaborate with your supervisor to plan interventions, including ordering parts and managing inventory.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspections, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Document all interventions meticulously, including parts used, repairs performed, and any observations made.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a proven track record in equipment maintenance and repair within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Public Works, Agricultural, Heavy Vehicle, or Military Mechanic.
- Hold a relevant vocational qualification such as a CAP (Certificate of Vocational Aptitude) in Mechanics.
- Be proficient in operating various types of construction equipment and possess the necessary CACES certifications (e.g., CACES 10 R372).
- Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
