Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Softgoods Engineer, Robot Design Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing soft polymers, silicone, and textile parts for our robots.
- Owning all softgoods-related systems, working with the hardware team to bridge aesthetics and functionality of softgoods parts.
- Defining manufacturing methods and evaluating suppliers together with our Supply Chain team.
- Building Softgoods as a core competence in the company long term.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience designing and building softgoods products.
- Expertise in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience working with surfacing, complex geometry, organic designs, or topology optimization.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques for mid and high volume.
- Experience selecting soft polymers for consumer products.
- Understanding of highly dynamic environments where balancing competing priorities and timelines is needed.
