Sustainability Specialist

At Lonza, we are committed to creating a better future for our customers, employees, and the environment. As a Supplier Sustainability Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving our Responsible Sourcing Strategy and Global Sustainability strategy forward.

Reporting to the Manager, Supplier Sustainability within the Global Responsible Sourcing department, you will support the implementation of the E2E Supplier Sustainability strategy to ensure transparency and alignment on the Lonza global sustainability goals, in collaboration with the Procurement team, internal and external stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to support Lonza's sustainability priorities and goals.
• Onboard suppliers to sustainability assessments and audits, and provide coaching and capability building to ensure their compliance.
• Implement vendor due diligence and risk management processes to identify, address, and resolve potential ESG risks with Lonza's suppliers.
• Manage and report on supplier data, including tracking targets and developing Power BI reports.
• Support ESG screening of prospect suppliers and ESG evaluations during supplier onboarding.
• Develop and execute communication and training for procurement professionals and suppliers.
• Oversee completion of ESG reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• University degree in engineering, supply chain management, sustainability, or a business degree.
• 2+ years of experience in Sustainability/CSR programs within procurement or global sustainability function.
• Proven working experience with SAP, EcoVadis, Integrity Next, Dun and Bradstreet, and Power BI.
• Excellent command of MS-Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral skills in English, with German a plus.
