Teaching ResponsibilitiesAs a part-time English Language Instructor, you will be expected to:
- Deliver engaging English language instruction to a variety of age groups and course levels across multiple delivery locations.
- Plan, prepare, and execute between 6 to 12 hours of high-quality English language teaching each week, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our learners in the Il-de-France region.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey, while promoting learner independence.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, assessment, and enhancement of English language courses and materials to better serve our students.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Certificate in English Language Teaching to Young Learners (CELTYL) or a Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate (TYLEC), or equivalent qualifications.
- A recognized diploma in English as a foreign language, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education or a Bachelor of Education in a relevant field.
We offer:
- Guaranteed teaching hours with competitive remuneration, including paid preparation time.
- Comprehensive professional development opportunities through our extensive INSETT program, along with additional support for less experienced instructors.
- Funding for external training for suitable candidates.
- 35 days of paid leave, along with allowances for privileged days.
Please note that all candidates will undergo qualification checks, reference checks, and identity and criminal record checks in accordance with legal requirements and the British Council's safeguarding policies for both adults and children.
