Role Overview
As a member of the software department, you will engage in the enhancement of Dark's Software-In-The-Loop and Hardware-In-The-Loop functionalities. Your role will involve developing new simulator features, collaborating with the GNC team to acquire suitable models, and working with the avionics team to design the interface with operational boards.

Initial Tasks
  • Familiarizing yourself with the simulator architecture and previous development efforts
  • Creating an emulation capability for absolute attitude sensors
  • Establishing communication through ROS with the Matlab/Simulink model for flight dynamics extrapolation

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing emulated functionalities to facilitate comprehensive testing of software and electronic boards
  • Developing ROS-based packages to simulate sensor and actuator interfaces
  • Defining requirements and coordinating the development of electronic boards to connect spacecraft components
  • Executing Hardware-In-the-Loop tests for avionics components
  • Integrating Simulink plant model blocks into a C++ framework
  • Collaborating with and supporting GNC and electronics teams
  • Contributing to software processes and tools to uphold high engineering standards
  • Identifying synergies with the Ground Segment software suite

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in software development (experience in V&V processes is advantageous)
  • Preferred background in the Defense / Aerospace sector (e.g., MBDA, Thales, Dassault, Safran, etc.)
  • Theoretical and practical expertise in C++ and Python programming languages
  • Familiarity with ROS
  • Hands-on experience with real-time applications
  • Basic understanding of electronics and low-level software
  • Basic knowledge of GNC and spacecraft flight dynamics
  • As our team is international, proficiency in technical English is essential. Fluency in French is a plus
