Position Overview

Role: Authorization Coordinator

In the role of Authorization Coordinator, you will oversee the management of authorization documentation and facilitate the operations of the Specialized Commission in Healthcare Services. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Compiling and distributing pre-authorization summaries
  • Assessing authorization requests for thoroughness and directing them to evaluators
  • Drafting proposals for decisions and related correspondence for healthcare services and equipment
  • Overseeing renewal procedures, which include monitoring necessary documentation, issuing alerts, reminders, collecting feedback, drafting letters, and ensuring their distribution
  • Maintaining databases and organizing records
  • Updating information related to healthcare registrations
  • Tracking correspondence within the designated system

Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of the Specialized Commission in Healthcare Services by managing instructional documents, coordinating meetings, administering SharePoint, and generating reports.
