ROLE OVERVIEW
As a member of the Mobility Financial Control team, you will report directly to the Mobility Global Finance Controller. The Mobility sector is a significant part of Edenred's operations, generating over 500M€ in annual revenue and operating in more than 15 countries.
You will serve as the primary liaison between headquarters and the Mobility controllers in various countries, addressing all matters related to IT expenditures and capital expenditures (Capex). Additionally, you will oversee the month-end closing process and manage the central costs associated with the Mobility Business Line.
You will also assist the Mobility management team with essential financial activities, including monthly business evaluations, budgeting, forecasting, and the three-year strategic plan concerning IT and central Business Line costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of IT expenditures and Capex: Foster a culture focused on return on investment (ROI) to align with established Group strategic goals. Collaborate with the Business Line's CTO to provide insights into IT spending, facilitating Tech Business Reviews on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis. Implement a comprehensive framework for monitoring IT costs, resources, and Capex across the Business Line's entities, enabling tracking of expenses by individual projects against forecasts and budgets. Ensure thorough oversight of IT spending, resources (FTEs), and Capex at local, regional, and global levels to maximize ROI and prevent cost duplication. Work alongside Tech Finance teams to ensure transparency in chargebacks to various Business Line entities, optimizing Group expenditure and avoiding redundancy in costs and contracts. Act as the primary contact for Tech finance teams, offering insights into IT spending trends. Assist different entities in preparing presentations for Investment Committees, serving as the intermediary among stakeholders (Finance, DMS, Global Tech, entities).
- Management of Central Costs for the Business Line: Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure adherence to monthly closing schedules, guaranteeing timely cost reporting. Conduct prompt analyses to verify result accuracy, identifying root causes for discrepancies between budget/forecasts and actual outcomes. As part of the Group's routine, ensure precise forecasting of central costs for the Business Line. Provide internal stakeholders with visibility into their actual team costs compared to budgets, along with suitable explanations for any variances.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience in management control or finance business partnering roles, ideally within a multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of Accounting principles and IFRS standards.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other IT tools.
- Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of teamwork and collaboration in a matrixed, multicultural setting.
- Quick learner with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Capacity to challenge and partner with local management teams.
- Fluency in English and French (both spoken and written) is essential.
- Strong communication skills, adept at transitioning between high-level perspectives and detailed analyses.
