Head Chef - Unique Culinary Leadership Role
Company: Cognac Intérim, a prominent recruitment agency in the Charente region, focusing on the Restaurant, Construction, and Technical Industry sectors.
Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Head Chef to lead culinary operations for one of our esteemed clients located in Saint-Sever-de-Saintonge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct all kitchen activities
- Craft traditional cuisine while upholding high quality standards
- Manage procurement of ingredients and ensure their quality
- Train and inspire kitchen personnel
- Maintain hygiene and food safety protocols
- Collaborate with management to develop menus and specials
- Monitor expenses and manage kitchen finances
Team Composition: 3 Assistant Cooks + 1 Dishwasher + 6 Servers
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or Cook
- Comprehensive understanding of culinary techniques and current trends
- Proven team leadership and ability to perform under pressure
- Strong skills in cost management and inventory control
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Food safety certification is advantageous

Working Environment:
- Full-time employment
- Work schedule: Tuesday to Sunday, daytime hours
