Head Chef - Unique Culinary Leadership Role

Company: Cognac Intérim, a prominent recruitment agency in the Charente region, focusing on the Restaurant, Construction, and Technical Industry sectors.

Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Head Chef to lead culinary operations for one of our esteemed clients located in Saint-Sever-de-Saintonge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all kitchen activities
  • Craft traditional cuisine while upholding high quality standards
  • Manage procurement of ingredients and ensure their quality
  • Train and inspire kitchen personnel
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety protocols
  • Collaborate with management to develop menus and specials
  • Monitor expenses and manage kitchen finances

Team Composition: 3 Assistant Cooks + 1 Dishwasher + 6 Servers

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Head Chef or Cook
  • Comprehensive understanding of culinary techniques and current trends
  • Proven team leadership and ability to perform under pressure
  • Strong skills in cost management and inventory control
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Food safety certification is advantageous

Working Environment:
