Job Summary:
Iron Systems is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for desktop devices, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage desktop devices incidents through to resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance on desktop devices for their entire lifecycle.
- Support and maintain the configuration and installation of desktop devices, including patch updates, hardware replacements, and spares provided by vendors.
- Analyze service desk calls and incident data to identify potential user training requirements and automation opportunities.
- Ensure that each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image.
- Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all desktop devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
- Provide VIP support for desk-side issues and serve as the point of contact for all IT-related issues at the site.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 operating system.
- Good understanding of Active Directory and smart hands and feet support.
- Good understanding of MAC devices and tablets.
- Experience with service management tools, such as ServiceNow.
- Expertise in EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Understanding of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.
- Awareness of ITIL processes, including incident, change, problem, and service request management.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
