We are seeking a Global Legal Advisor to become a vital part of our Forvis Mazars Group Legal department.
Position OverviewReporting directly to the Forvis Mazars Group Head of Legal, the Global Legal Advisor will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the management of institutional agreements, membership documentation, and the global legal framework;
- Providing legal counsel to governing bodies concerning general operations at the group, partnership, and operational levels;
- Drafting and managing global contracts that span multiple entities, activities, and jurisdictions, particularly in Information and Communications Technology Law;
- Creating and monitoring general agreements executed by various group departments, including service contracts, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, and guarantees;
- Administering the group’s Intellectual Property Rights and safeguarding against unauthorized use of the brand and trademarks;
- Offering legal support for the firm’s expansion and merger initiatives, including conducting legal due diligence, drafting necessary agreements, and coordinating with external advisors;
- Assisting with litigation matters pertinent to group activities;
- Conducting biannual reviews of litigation cases handled by member firms globally;
- Structuring and standardizing legal documentation;
- Drafting and updating group policies across various domains (such as human rights, anti-bribery, and social media usage) in collaboration with the Risk team;
- Standardizing multi-country service agreements with clients and ensuring compliance among member firms with the established global framework.
- A legal professional qualified under French or Belgian law, with expertise in commercial contracts, digital offerings, and software licensing;
- Approximately 5 years of confirmed professional experience within the legal department of an international organization or law firm;
- Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in French being highly desirable; additional languages are a significant advantage;
- An international background is greatly valued;
- Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate effectively with junior colleagues;
- Strong business insight and commitment to client service;
- Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills;
- Outstanding project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to navigate various legal fields autonomously, demonstrating rigor and a results-oriented approach;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to articulate ideas and positions clearly.
