About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data, Software, and DevOps team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and overseeing the development of our scientific engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of our scientific engine, utilizing Python and other technologies.
  • Organize knowledge-sharing sessions with the team to ensure everyone is up-to-date on the latest developments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and practices.
  • Present progress and goals to the team and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap through architecture meetings and design documents.
  • Coach junior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or data scientist.
  • Solid knowledge of Python and engineering principles.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Earth Science.
  • Experience optimizing and profiling Python code.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Good knowledge of Docker and production development workflow.
  • Fluent in English and French.
