Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our market intelligence department, you will be responsible for analyzing global commodity markets, with a focus on starch and sweeteners. Your expertise will help inform our commercial functions and drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and improve our intelligence process and models to guarantee highest quality analysis for critical decision-making.
  • Develop and improve models to measure and estimate the impact of market drivers on supply and demand.
  • Build weekly communications affecting the starch and sweeteners markets, raising and explaining risk flags that could change market trends.
  • Collaborate with commercial functions in Europe and around the world, exchanging market insights that could impact our business.
  • Challenge forecasts and models, providing an independent and critical view.
Management and Collaboration
  • You will report directly to the Head of Research in Tereos HQ.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork in a matrix setup, with key stakeholders within the commercial and market intelligence teams.
  • Liaise with other research team leads on grains, sugar, and ethanol to ensure coordination on key market drivers.
  • Provide ideas for new data, technology, and innovation to strengthen analysis within the Market Research and Intelligence teams.
  • Train new members of the team, actively participating in their development and sharing experiences and knowledge with the team.
Requirements
  • University degree in Agronomy, Economics, Engineering, or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity research and/or starch and sweeteners intelligence.
  • Fluent French and English.
  • Top Excel skills, with Power BI and Python a plus.
