We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer (Trainee) to join our team at Hitachi Astemo. As a key member of our Brake Business Unit, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions for advanced braking systems and automatic parking brakes.
Your primary goal will be to develop and update the Build & Test tool chain of the APB embedded software, improving the efficiency of the software development process. To achieve this, you will:
- Understand the existing software development process
- Develop tools for process automation, including Model-based autocoding, building, MIL/SIL/PIL testing, KPI, and more
- Develop a CI/CD environment
- Document the Build & Test tool chain
- Develop a Hitachi Library for use in APB software development
- Coach the software team in tool usage
- Assess and measure software development process efficiency improvement
Requirements include:
- IT or Embedded system or Mechatronics engineering degree
- Motivated, involved, rigorous, autonomous, and open-minded
- Good control of Office pack (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge of some programming languages, such as C, Python, Perl, and Powershell
- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, including Matlab script, is a plus
- Knowledge of Jenkins, build automation, and CI/CD is a plus
- Technical English and French are recommended
