We are currently seeking to enhance our HPC-Cloud community, one of the largest in Europe. This community, composed of specialists in AI, Big Data, Cloud, and High-Performance Computing, is looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist / MLOps Specialist (M/F) to join our development team. This position provides the chance to broaden expertise across various domains while contributing to Aneo's R&D efforts.
As a vital member of our IAML team, the specialist will engage in pioneering projects and assist in the deployment of our AI solutions, emphasizing operational excellence, MLOps, and cloud technologies.
We are in search of a consultant who is enthusiastic about transitioning from academia (if coming from a research background) and possesses strong interpersonal abilities. A natural tendency towards implementing and disseminating best practices in industrialization and automation (DevOps) is crucial. Proficient in Machine Learning, the candidate should comprehend the various phases from data acquisition to production deployment, including training and performance validation. A curious mindset and staying updated with industry trends are essential attributes for the consultant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models tailored to client requirements
- Collaborating closely with Data Engineering and DevOps teams to construct and enhance ML pipelines
- Deploying models in production, monitoring performance to ensure quality and reliability in MLOps
- Contributing to the research and development of innovative ML techniques
- Participating in IAML projects to foster knowledge transfer within the team

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: 60K€ - 75K€, commensurate with experience

Opportunity for 2-3 days of remote work
The Aneo Sas community is looking for an individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about Cloud (AWS or GCP ML specialization), MLOps (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, MLFlow, etc.), and DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab CI).
Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Practical industrial experience in creating ML pipelines and deploying models on the cloud using AWS SageMaker or GCP Vertex AI
- Strong knowledge of Python and popular ML frameworks
- Excellent proficiency in Git
- Ability to collaborate effectively in teams and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis capabilities
- Experience with LLMs is an advantage
Recruitment Process:
Pre-qualification: 30-minute phone interview for initial mutual interest screening
HR Interview: Discussion to assess cultural fit and preferences
Technical Interview: Evaluation of technical skills, potentially including a technical Use Case
Projection Interview: Discussion with a Director to confirm professional alignment within the organization
At least one recruitment stage will be conducted in person, including a maximum 20-minute synthesis and writing exercise.
