About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist Manager Lead to join our team at AXA Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists and driving business growth through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership
    • Organize and prioritize team activities to achieve business objectives.
    • Ensure the adoption of best practices in data modeling, programming, and deployment (MLOps).
    • Develop and mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Business Development
    • Propose and implement data-driven solutions to optimize business processes.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business opportunities.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Develop and manage project plans, including resource allocation and risk management.
  • Analytics and Insights
    • Develop and maintain advanced analytics models to drive business insights.
    • Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures.
    • Communicate complex analytics insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in machine learning with a focus on insurance or pricing.
  • Strong background in data science, actuarial science, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and gradient boosting algorithms (e.g., Catboost).
  • Experience in deploying machine learning models in an industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of leading successful cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
