Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Leader to join our team at GE Energy Products France SNC. As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for the development of new products focused on delivering a more sustainable power with flawless quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare smooth execution of R&D development programs that require cross Mechanical teams level implication.
  • Pro-actively involve team members, maintain clear definition of product scope and associated development schedule in partnership with Platform Management and Application & Project Engineering teams.
  • Run operating rhythm of R&D-related KPI (Key Performance Indicators) driving New Technology team members and Technical Leaders of the other Mechanical CoE team toward flawless R&D.
  • Perform process audits within the teams, improve processes, create processes (Standard Work, Work Instruction, checklists...) where gap is identified to ensure no default escape.
  • Spread Lean culture and enforce adherence to R&D process.
  • Review, challenge and validate the R&D design production and documentation generated by the New Technology team members (design reviews, schematics, interfaces, specifications, parts, Systems Application Guides, Design Practices...).
  • Pilot relationship with requisition design teams to manage clean R&D to Requisition handoff, as well as to collect feedback and Lessons Learned from the field in a continuous improvement motion.
  • Study market conditions, technical literature, competitive assessments to identify opportunities for new development.
  • Develop IP strategy for GE Vernova to ensure strong market presence and protect GE Vernova investment/research.
  • Provide technical mentorship and coaching to professional, lead professional, and senior professional engineers in the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Significant experience in Mechanical & Fluids engineering and/or quality in Power, Aeronautics, Chemical or Automotive industry.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Lean and Quality oriented Culture.
  • Perfect English both oral and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical engineering.
  • Passion to work on the power decarbonization challenge developing and implementing long-term, large-scale innovation programs that contribute to more reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.
  • People-oriented and experience to work in an inclusive way with global teams.
  • Experience in design and validation in power plant fluids and mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills, strong interpersonal, mentoring and influencing skills.
  • External focus and ability to build win-win partnerships for the success of the R&D programs.
