Industrial Buyer

Thales Aerospace Communications is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to join their team in France. As a procurement specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Driving supplier performance in line with budget targets and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Implementing tools and processes to enhance procurement efficiency and support services.
• Participating in regular meetings with procurement and quality teams to discuss supplier performance and quality standards.
• Preparing supplier portfolios for future negotiations and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Negotiating contracts and logistics agreements with suppliers to ensure cost savings and quality standards.
• Resolving supplier disputes and non-conformities in a timely and professional manner.
• Supporting technical projects and sourcing plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Achieving cost savings while maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Providing occasional support in other procurement activities to ensure seamless operations.

The ideal candidate should have a technical background with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, or rail. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and knowledge of industrial processes and standards are essential. Familiarity with ERP systems and good English skills are also required for this role.
