Job DescriptionAs a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the development, support, installation, and maintenance of all equipment deployed for the French Government and large organizations. You will work closely with our Enterprise Field Operations team to ensure the successful implementation of our solutions.
Main Responsibilities- Installation, service, and maintenance of VSAT/MSS equipment and other communication and tracking devices for French large customers.
- Development of specific customized solutions using electronic and communication means.
- Maintenance and testing of large parc of materials (MSS/VSAT/Tracking) for Gov and Non-Gov customers.
As a Field Engineer, your duties will include inspecting and installing equipment and new technologies, directing crews or workers on site, conducting research, and reporting on project status. You will ensure that everything works smoothly and engineering designs are being followed.
Requirements- Higher education in IT, Datacom, or Telecom (Engineer degree is a plus).
- Proven experience in Electronic Engineering development.
- Direct technical support to local partner engineers during installation, service, and maintenance of VSAT equipment.
- Implementation of pilot projects or new technologies and preparation of appropriate and detailed documentation related to these projects.
- Cooperate with other departments to solve technical problems on MSS/VSAT or tracking equipment.
- Previous experience as a field engineer or similar role.
- Well-versed in technical aspects of field projects, including machinery and equipment.
- Understanding of safety guidelines.
- Attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in adverse weather and occasional overtime and weekends.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
- Assist and execute tests on new/unknown equipment in cooperation with other departments.
- Capable of building rapport with faculty and earning their trust.
- Education and experience in the engineering and delivery of telecommunication services via satellite, radio, and fiber and of Information Technology.
- French Native and Fluent in English.
- Actively and continuously increase knowledge level by self-studying and training.
- Actively share knowledge within the organization.
- Ability to carry materials on site (Case 20kg, spectrum analyser, toolbox).
- Good fitness expected.
- Ability to work in challenging environments.
- Ready to travel in relation to work activities.
- Flexible to perform other tasks outside the scope of his/her main role.
- Team spirit & Teamwork & Participation & Attitude.
- Creation of a performance culture Compliance.
- Ability to be "Confidentiel Defense" certified.
