An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Flight Operations Engineer to join Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Blagnac. You will be part of the STL "Flight Operations Support and Training Standards" Department, working alongside pilots, simulator instructors, and flight operations engineers to provide comprehensive operational support to our Operators.
The Airbus Flight Operations Engineer provides Airline Flight Operations Departments with all the necessary data for the pilots and airline flight operation staff to operate their Airbus aircraft safely and efficiently. This includes ensuring the update of all flight operational documentation & tools and being in direct contact with customers to support them.
Key responsibilities include providing Airlines Flight Operations Departments with all the necessary data/operational documentation, answering operational queries raised by the airlines, and contributing to the design & validation of first-class ground and on-board software tool solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to Navblue Weight & Balance (W&B) services, develop and deliver Airbus/Navblue training courses for customers' staff, and bring the customer view into new aircraft/Mod. definition.
As a Flight Ops Engineer / Load Control Specialist, you will be expected to develop and draft procedures and systems descriptions for inclusion in a new chapter of the WBM for Main Deck Freighter aircraft, and participate as a full member of the W&B team on all of the tasks listed above. You will also be required to proactively propose improvements to our processes and collaborate and nurture solid relationships with partner teams in Airbus, Navblue, and across the industry.
Required skills:
Educated to a 5-year degree level in aeronautics or equivalent. Sound knowledge and understanding of aircraft flight physics. A thorough knowledge of aircraft Weight & Balance and/or Flight Ops Support. Experience in Load Planner/Controller or Loadmaster roles, drafting of airline Ground ops Manuals, or versatile person with the ability to work in changing environments under time pressure. Capacity to organize and prioritize tasks in a team spirit working environment. Communication skills (written, verbal) and customer-focused personality; Training or Conference experience is a plus.
Language Skills:
English Negotiation Level. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
