Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC. As an Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of electrical systems and equipment in our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Awareness of project HSE requirements and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Awareness of project quality requirements and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Active contribution to safety walks, reporting of accidents and investigation of accidents, if any.
- Review of codes and standards related to inspection requirements, fabrication specifications and Inspection & Test procedures.
- Coordination of all requests for electrical system inspections and coordination with the relevant project team members.
- Attendance at inspection witness and hold points as per the approved Quality Control Plan.
- Reporting on inspections to the Quality Engineer Construction.
- Follow-up of all site non-conformities in area of responsibility and ensure proper actions and documentation.
- Carry out visual inspection of equipment, report on them and assess their compliance with specified acceptance criteria.
- Follow-up of the Mechanical Completion and verify and close punch items.
- Inspection of Spares Parts and Special Tools and follow-up of preservation of Site.
- Review of EPCC Contractor Electrical QC personnel qualification and performance and approval of all inspection and repair reports submitted by Contractor during Construction and Commissioning.
- Ensure implementation of the project contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation to the Project Director through the line responsible.
- Monitoring of construction quality activities and assist and liaison with other project team members, as applicable.
- Review of all inspection and test records applicable to their discipline.
- Conduct inspections as per RFI's and review QC reports and accept or report any deviations through the QC Engineer Construction, where necessary.
- Documentation and submission of Lessons Learned in accordance with relevant project procedure.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience for Engineers and 7 years for Diploma holders in inspection of Electrical Systems in Oil & Gas industries or fabrication Company.
- Experience in good knowledge of various in-service inspection practices, review of specifications etc.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
