The Role
Under the guidance of the Entertainment/Wellness Manager and/or the General Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and staff while adhering to established policies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and comfort of the hotel environment by conducting regular observations and assisting management in upholding operational standards.Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
Planning & Organizing:
As a Spa Therapist, you must be well-versed in all corporate and local operational standards to ensure compliance and achieve outlined goals:
Keep the management informed of all wellness-related matters. Collaborate with management and staff to address wellness concerns and loss prevention. Coordinate with local authorities as necessary. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards set by the hotel. Foster a cooperative and respectful environment within the team and across departments. Stay informed about daily hotel activities and possess comprehensive knowledge of all services and facilities.Operations:
Deliver a variety of massage techniques, beauty treatments, and wellness therapies.
Maintain accurate records of treatments and services provided to each spa guest.
Engage with guests during treatments to adjust techniques as needed.
Address guest concerns and report any incidents to the supervisor.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including changing linens and sterilizing equipment.
Provide clear explanations of treatments and recommend services tailored to guest needs.
Ensure the spa is well-stocked with supplies and communicate any shortages to management.
Inquire about guests' health conditions and allergies prior to providing services.
Administration:
Offer a range of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing, and nail care) in a safe and pleasant manner. Maintain equipment and inventory of products. Keep accurate documentation and maintain client records. Ensure a clean and organized treatment room. Respond to customer inquiries and address their needs and expectations. Promote retail products and additional services. Uphold hygiene standards and comply with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with administration on any emerging issues. Stay updated on best practices and market trends. QualificationsPrevious experience in the spa industry is required. A degree in a related field is preferred. Certification in a spa discipline such as fitness or therapy is advantageous. Additional Information
