Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Science Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage deeply with data science methodologies and analytics to support the growth of Pernod-Ricard.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be to:

  • Develop impactful data science solutions tailored for our markets.
  • Translate business challenges into technical requirements.
  • Collect and structure extensive and intricate data sets, conducting relevant analyses and modeling.
  • Collaborate with various teams to industrialize, maintain, and enhance our data science products.
  • Work alongside the Data Analyst team to communicate the results of our models.
  • Coordinate with Data Stewards to identify essential data for model development.
  • Partner with Data Engineers to establish necessary data pipelines.
  • Engage closely with the Data Industrialization team (IT) to ensure that proofs of concept are viable for industrialization.
  • Utilize existing or develop new data science capabilities within Pernod-Ricard to generate value through business applications.
  • Actively participate in the Data Science community.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in Python and version control systems like GiT.
  • Experience with core analytical techniques, including:
    • Statistics (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA)
    • Segmentation and clustering methods
    • Predictive modeling (e.g., logistic regression, linear regression)
    • Machine learning techniques (e.g., Random Forest, neural networks)
    • Time series analysis and text mining
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of analytics tools, such as:
    • Cloud computing platforms (Azure preferred)
    • Data storage solutions (e.g., Azure Datalake, SQL Database)
    • Data processing and orchestration tools (e.g., Databricks, ADF)
    • Data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong background in developing analytical solutions.

While our primary programming language is Python, we are open to exploring and integrating any language that meets our requirements.
