Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at The Exploration Company. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing propulsion pressurised tanks, utilising knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Design Support: Collaborate with the design team to develop propulsion pressurised tanks, ensuring that all processes align with design specifications and project goals.
- Material Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of metal manufacturing, with a focus on aluminium, as well as knowledge of elastomers and thermoplastics.
- Development Support: Assist in the development phase, ensuring that all processes align with design specifications and project goals.
- Process Qualification: Take charge of qualifying manufacturing processes and final hardware, adhering to stringent ESA or NASA standards.
- Standardisation: Define and implement procedures to achieve process qualification and compliance with space industry standards.
- Previous Experience: Proven track record in tank design and manufacturing, preferably within the space sector but not only.
- Process Mastery: Demonstrate mastery over all manufacturing processes related to aluminium to ensure the highest quality in space-grade components.
- Supplier Network: Support our procurement team to find the adequate suppliers for processes that we don't want to internalise.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on aerospace components as a plus.
- Familiarity with ESA or NASA manufacturing standards and qualifications is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
