Job Title: Placement Civil Engineer

Aecon Concessions is seeking a skilled Placement Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Placement Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our infrastructure projects.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Placement Civil Engineer to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of our construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Support the monitoring of project costs, materials supply quantities, and scheduling.
  • Assist in the interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision.
  • Assist in managing project-specific materials and equipment purchases.
  • Assist in generating requests for design changes, clarifications, and technical/engineering issues.
  • Assist in defining/reviewing site requirements/expectations from estimating.
  • Assist in reviewing the estimate structure/breakdown with the project estimating lead.
  • Assist in providing necessary information for estimating to complete their estimates.
  • Assist in reviewing drawings for construction, including isometrics and vendor drawings.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).
  • Understanding of engineered tools/equipment, automated systems, remote tooling systems.
  • Knowledge in software related to the construction industry (e.g., Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP, etc.).
  • Hold a full Driver's License (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in both field and office environments.
