The firm currently manages a substantial amount of assets, with a significant portion classified under sustainable finance regulations.
In a strategic move to enhance our finance operations, Sienna Investment Managers is establishing a dedicated accounting team in Paris responsible for consolidation and financial management.
The organization has successfully prepared comprehensive financial statements under IFRS for multiple entities, alongside a consolidated reporting package aimed at supporting the overarching financial statements of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert.
In this transformative phase, we are seeking a Lead Manager of Accounting and Consolidation to bolster our Paris team. In this role, you will oversee the external accounting firm in Paris on all accounting and tax-related matters. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Consolidation based in Luxembourg and the Head of Finance in Paris to enhance our consolidation activities.
You will report directly to the Group CFO, with a functional reporting line to the Head of Consolidation regarding consolidation matters. This position offers the opportunity to join a vibrant team characterized by a positive work environment and to play a crucial role in the evolution of our finance organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing consolidation instructions in partnership with controlling and accounting teams under the guidance of the Head of Consolidation;
- Manage and lead the external accounting teams for Group entities within the French scope;
- Coordinate data collection efforts with entities in the French perimeter;
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards;
- Review, analyze, and challenge data received from Group entities for consolidation purposes;
- Support the intercompany reconciliation process;
- Aid in preparing consolidation adjustments;
- Assist in conducting annual Goodwill impairment tests;
- Contribute to the preparation of a complete set of Consolidated Financial Statements under IFRS;
- Prepare audit support documentation and liaise with external auditors;
- Assist in compiling the consolidated reporting package, including the initial preparation of a consolidated cash flow statement and related disclosures;
- Support the analysis and reconciliation of portfolio NAV;
- Identify opportunities to enhance the consolidation process and streamline reporting procedures;
- Help implement best practices and automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy;
- Contribute to various internal projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably in the Asset Management sector or a reputable audit firm, with a strong emphasis on financial consolidation, reporting, and IFRS accounting;
- Prior experience in preparing consolidated financial statements;
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential;
- Ability to manage and direct an external accounting team effectively;
- Results-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines;
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy;
- Inquisitive and proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement in deliverables and processes.
