We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Mobilisights. As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and building robust, scalable data platforms that can ingest, store, manage, and stream massive amounts of data.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement best-in-class data platforms using cloud-native technologies such as Spark, Flink, and Kafka.
- Work with cross-functional teams to explore data and develop end-to-end data pipelines that meet business requirements.
- Ensure data quality, security, and privacy by implementing robust controls and monitoring systems.
- Drive continual improvements for reliability, performance, scalability, and quality, and own associated KPIs.
- Provide on-call support for the platform and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- 5+ years of experience in development and operation of cloud-native data streaming systems.
- Experience working with cloud-native real-time streaming data ecosystems such as Spark, Flink, Kinesis, Lambda, Kafka, EMR/EKS platform, and Lakehouse platform.
- Experience in developing and optimizing AWS data system architecture, including infrastructure as code, integration and deployment automation, and security.
- Experience in ensuring operation reliability of cloud-native data systems in production, particularly with deploying and monitoring AWS infrastructure using MSK, EKS clusters.
- Experience with languages such as Spark-Scala, Py-Spark, and/or Python, Java.
- Experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of SQL, SQL Tuning, and Big Data NoSQL technologies.
- Experience in implementing application processing large-scale Geo-spatial data is a plus.
- Experience with development and deployment of containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience in building systems that monitor data losses and data quality control.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in designing foundations of Operational excellence and implementing.
- Curiosity and passion to learn with a strong bias to action.
