Our customer is launching an ambitious project to standardize their production processes and is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering efforts for the design, construction, and operation of bio-methane and biogas production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver on the bio-methane and biogas production project goals.
- Oversee the design, engineering, and execution phases of the project, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all engineering activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination between design teams, project management, and construction teams.
- Develop and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and project plans, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and codes.
- Manage engineering resources and ensure that engineering activities are scheduled and executed in alignment with the project's overall timeline and milestones.
- Provide technical leadership in risk management, identifying potential engineering challenges, and implementing solutions to mitigate project risks.
- Ensure all engineering designs are optimized for efficiency, safety, and sustainability, particularly in relation to the environmental impact of bio-methane and biogas production.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for all engineering deliverables, ensuring that designs meet safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure that all engineering work complies with legal and industry standards.
- Support the commissioning and startup of the bio-methane and biogas production facilities, providing engineering expertise during these critical phases.
- Manage the engineering budget, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed within the allocated resources and cost constraints.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering team.
- Strong background in process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and automation engineering for industrial projects.
- Experience leading engineering teams on complex industrial projects, preferably within the energy, gas, or renewable energy sectors.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale engineering projects, from conceptual design through execution and commissioning.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Expertise in engineering standards and codes, including NF EN, Eurocodes, and relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience managing projects in compliance with ATEX standards and other regulatory frameworks applicable to biogas and methane production.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying and mitigating risks in engineering projects.
- Ability to manage technical risks related to design, construction, and commissioning of production facilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
