Hutchinson is a leading company in the design, manufacturing, and sales of illuminated Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), control boxes, and vibration attenuation systems, requiring expertise in mechanical, electronic, computer, and photometric fields.
The Category Manager for Energy will coordinate, pilot, and negotiate energy purchases in the broadest sense (energy purchase contracts, on-site CPPA/PPA, green certificates, and energy efficiency support services), as well as strategic actions with the Finance, HES (Hutchinson Excellence System/Sustainability), and Activity Direction departments of the Group.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management:
- Analyze and study contracts and supplier risks
- Negotiate contracts in collaboration with HES/Sustainability technical experts and the Legal department
- Communicate and track the deployment of agreements with internal clients and users, supported by Country Leaders
- Manage and inform management on key contracts, deadlines, and associated risks
- Audit and Procurement Process:
- Prepare and build, in collaboration with operational teams, consultations (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for CPPA, PPA, and energy efficiency support services
- Identify and source suppliers from the TotalEnergies panel and the market
- Prepare and lead consultations and presentations with stakeholders
- Develop analysis grids and evaluate technical, functional, and commercial offers
- Pilot negotiations
- Participate in decision-making, supplier selection, and contractualization processes
- Pilotage, Performance, and Spend Management:
- Manage supplier relationships (reporting, Business Review, etc.)
- Monitor purchasing performance (QCDIS)
- Ensure market, technological, and regulatory monitoring
- Ensure reporting to hierarchical and functional directions
- Operate according to Group procedures (purchasing process, code of ethics, integrity guide, anti-corruption procedure, etc.)
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher (Bac + 5)
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Excellent negotiation skills with expertise in energy purchasing (market, PPA, scope 1 and 2, energy efficiency, etc.)
- Strong legal and contract skills, as well as technical skills (economy, management, science, finance, or technology, purchasing)
- Knowledge of project management and cost structure
- Excellent listening and transcription skills for prescriptive needs, as well as teamwork and coordination skills
- Excellent English skills (C1 minimum)
You will be a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills, a curious and analytical mindset, and a strong sense of initiative and integrity. You will be able to prioritize tasks effectively and work well in a team environment.
