Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our team at The Indigo Road. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring consistency and perfection in every dish, and providing exceptional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, stock, and maintain the highest quality cuisine for our guests, adhering to our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation.
- Closely monitor inventory levels and report any product shortages or equipment problems to the Chef.
- Assist in closing the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
Requirements for Success
- A minimum of two years' experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience.
- A positive energy and a willingness to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player.
- The ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with managers, employees, and guests.
- A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods, with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
