Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to oversee the development environment, integrate third-party tools, and optimize processes for our engineering team. As a team lead, you will work closely with underwriting and R&D managers to define key targets and roadmap, provide technical direction, and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the development environment
  • Integrate third-party tools for automation
  • Optimize processes for individual DevOps/Sysadmin excellence
  • Work closely with underwriting and R&D managers to define key targets and roadmap
  • Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and practices
  • Frequently present progress and goals to both engineering and wider teams
  • Set up a cyber roadmap with a reachable Business Continuation Plan and Incidence response plan
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap through architecture meetings and design documents
  • Lead and coach the engineering team to consistently deliver according to their roadmap
  • Share expertise to help the team set up, automate, maintain, and update secured connections to third-party tools, CI/CD pipelines, data storage processes, package versioning and releasing pipelines, Docker environments, modularization of code bases, VM and compute instances, connections to external and internal APIs, notification processes with chat tools, and website hosting
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in DevOps position(s)
  • 1 year or more of technical management experience
  • Ability to handle human interactions between tech and business
  • Experience mentoring a team of engineers by unblocking complex situations and sharing best practices
  • Scoping and defining tech priorities according to roadmap and maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
