About the Role: At Solvay, we are enhancing our IT capabilities to drive operational excellence across our organization. We are in search of a skilled IT Compliance Specialist with a robust understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), dual-use regulations, and the EU's Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2).
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Strategy Development: Formulate and execute an IT compliance strategy that aligns with EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2, ensuring that all IT systems and processes adhere to these standards.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to pinpoint potential compliance vulnerabilities within IT operations. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, safeguarding the integrity and security of IT systems.
- Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Spearhead initiatives to guarantee that IT systems and processes comply with EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2, including the management of export controls, data protection measures, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Collaborative Engagement: Collaborate with IT, legal, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure a unified approach to compliance. Provide expert advice on IT compliance issues throughout the organization.
- Policy Development: Create and maintain comprehensive IT compliance policies and procedures, ensuring effective communication and enforcement across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT compliance, with specific expertise in EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2 or similar cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, network security, and data protection principles.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to drive compliance initiatives in a dynamic environment.
