About the Role
Safran Aircraft Engines is seeking a skilled Mechanical Integration Engineer to join our team in the Propulsion Systems Studies Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting studies and developing concepts for the integration of mechanical transmissions in aviation engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and formalize hypotheses for the study of auxiliary transmission systems and reduction gearboxes in collaboration with system, installation, and architecture teams.
- Research and propose possible transmission architectures in cooperation with concept designers and manufacturers.
- Perform pre-dimensioning and evaluations of these concepts.
- Propose alternative concepts and estimate gains in terms of engine mass, size, etc.
- Anticipate integration difficulties and facilitate information exchange between study offices and cooperants.
- Ensure and document the conformity of the Power Transmission module with system propulsion needs and requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of experience in R&D in the mechanical or integration field.
Working Conditions
This position involves occasional travel within metropolitan France.
