Join Our Tech Team
As a Python Backend Engineer, you will be part of a skilled team of three senior backend developers. Our technical environment is robust, utilizing tools such as AWS, Django, Jenkins, Ansible, ElasticSearch, Postgres, and Redis to create state-of-the-art solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Integrate diverse financial data from providers like Morningstar, Bloomberg, Reuters, and S&P Capital IQ, along with ESG and Climate data sources such as CDP, ISS, Vigéo Eiris, Trucost, RepRisk, and Clarity AI.
- Incorporate new tools and libraries developed by our Research and Development team.
- Develop and maintain endpoints for our frontend and API services.
- Create and manage background batch processes to ensure the integrity of data.
- Enhance system performance by optimizing response times.
- Engage in data automation processes, including both batch and real-time processing.
- Implement SRE monitoring practices.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, particularly with Python and a REST framework like Django.
- A strong understanding of architectural principles relevant to backend systems, including monolithic and microservices architectures, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures, and Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, including Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, or Kanban.
- A proven track record of writing high-quality, well-tested code, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming.
- Excellent communication skills in English or French; a master's degree is an advantage.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in financial applications or FinTech, especially in managing time series data, stocks, funds, ETFs, and risk models will be considered a plus.
