Job Title: Director of Public Safety

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate a detailed public safety plan that addresses the unique requirements of the local community.
  • Oversee the daily functions of the municipal police department to guarantee effective service delivery.
  • Lead and inspire the police team by managing human resources with a focus on motivation and support.
  • Build collaborative relationships with local government entities, law enforcement bodies, and community partners.
  • Initiate crime prevention programs and promote strong community engagement.
  • Manage administrative duties and budgetary responsibilities to maximize resource utilization and ensure adherence to regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Public Safety or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing municipal police or comparable positions.
  • In-depth understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications, with a preference for MUNICIPOL.

Position Overview
