Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bovine Herd Manager to join our team at Chambres d'agriculture de Bretagne. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for the daily management of our dairy farm operations, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and contributing to the overall success of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Animal Care: Oversee the daily care and management of our bovine herd, including feeding, breeding, and health monitoring.
  • Farm Operations: Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the farm, including milking, feeding, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of farm staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the smooth operation of the farm.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of farm operations, including animal health, production, and financial data.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in dairy farm management or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in farm management software and equipment.
