We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer to join our team of security experts at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building and scaling security incident response platforms and tooling across the largest cloud provider in the world.

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-quality software solutions that drive real impact. You will work closely with our team of Security Engineers and Software Development Engineers to enhance security incident response through automation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable software solutions using modern software development practices and technologies such as AWS services, Python, and data engineering tools.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize security incident response projects and develop solutions to address them.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security incident response platforms and tooling.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and operations to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in professional software development, with a strong background in modern software development practices.
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language, such as Java, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience developing using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English (C1).
