HVAC Systems Specialist

The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for supervising all installations, works, and commissioning of equipment related to HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment. This includes ventilation, heating, dampers, pipework, automation, air handling units, fan coils, chillers, and cold rooms, as well as their associated components.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all equipment and systems are safe to operate and installed with reasonable access for future maintenance and repair.
- Perform inspections and testing in accordance with the guidance specified in the relative Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and appropriate references.
- Act proactively in enforcing that remarks, defects, and other non-conformities are addressed to the shipyard and followed through during the inspection or commissioning process.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection and commissioning results and contribute to monthly construction status reports.
- Support the site management on the preparation of documents for the delivery process of the ships.
- Perform ad hoc patrolling of construction areas to evaluate the overall installation standard and obtain information on products and materials used.
- Participate in equipment Factory Acceptance Test.
- Contribute to the specification for future vessels.
- Establish a good working relationship with shipyard management, classification society, and other regulatory bodies.
- Attend technical and progress meetings as indicated by the Senior Vice President Newbuilding or the Site Office Manager.
- Typical Background: 5 years of experience on a similar position.
