Context
Keolis Group, a prominent player in the public transport sector, is responsible for managing urban mobility solutions across various regions. With a robust annual turnover and a dedicated workforce, the organization operates a comprehensive network of transportation services, including trams, buses, and innovative mobility solutions tailored to meet the needs of the community.
As part of its ongoing commitment to excellence in service delivery, Keolis Group is seeking to appoint a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial operations following the departure of the previous executive.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Executive Committee, you will oversee a team of finance professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing the budgeting process, including the preparation of forecasts and monthly financial reporting.
- Enhancing cash flow management and monitoring working capital requirements.
- Overseeing capital investment plans and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies on financial matters.
- Administering contracts and insurance agreements.
- Preparing materials for board meetings and shareholder assemblies.
- Ensuring compliance with governance standards and contractual obligations.
- Acting as the principal financial advisor to the local authority.
- Contributing to the negotiation and drafting of contract amendments.
- Participating in financial, legal, and tax discussions in close collaboration with the CEO.
- Leading the preparation of monthly and annual reports for stakeholders.
- Developing and monitoring performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
You will play a vital role in steering the organization towards its financial goals, working closely with the CEO and department heads. Your expertise will support operational teams in budget formulation and promote a culture of continuous improvement aimed at enhancing profitability and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or business administration, complemented by at least 10 years of substantial experience in financial leadership roles.
You will demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of navigating both small to medium enterprises and larger corporate structures. Experience in managing teams is essential.
Familiarity with procurement processes and contractual relationships in sectors such as construction, environmental services, or public transport will be advantageous. A background in public transport finance will be particularly beneficial, especially regarding contractual management within a public-private partnership framework.
