WHAT IS OUR MISSION?
For more than 15 years, the REDEN Group has been a key player in the international renewable photovoltaic energy sector. Owned by Macquarie, BCI, and MunichRe, we operate our own photovoltaic panel manufacturing facility in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and collaborate closely with local partners to develop, construct, and manage photovoltaic power plants. With a presence in 9 countries across Europe and Latin America, the REDEN Group currently oversees over 1 GW of capacity worldwide and anticipates significant growth by 2030.
YOUR ROLE IN THE REDEN INITIATIVE
As a Battery Storage Optimization Specialist, you will report directly to the Head of Energy Storage. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the assessment of revenue opportunities and the economic evaluation of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), encompassing both hybrid and standalone projects, while supporting project development across Europe.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the revenue analysis of BESS projects and conducting economic evaluations through the creation of adaptable and reliable numerical tools and methodologies (40% of your time),
- Benchmarking system modeling solutions, coordinating with external data providers and the PPA-Energy Management REDEN team, and directing the development of tools and methodologies (20% of your time),
- Participating in project identification and system engineering, and actively supporting due diligence processes related to project development and financing (20% of your time),
- Fostering collaboration with external partners and REDEN Group support functions, and preparing all necessary documentation for internal and external stakeholders (20% of your time).
WHO ARE YOU?
You hold a Master's degree in electrical engineering, modeling, quantitative analytics, or energy markets, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in project engineering or the development of energy management tools.
Desired skills include: Engineering of energy management systems, understanding of energy market regulations including ancillary services, quantitative analysis of time series data, and optimization problem-solving.
You are proficient in Microsoft software, including Office Suite, and familiar with Python libraries for time series analysis and optimization.
Fluency in both French and English is essential.
You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a diverse team across multiple locations. Your entrepreneurial mindset is complemented by a results-driven approach. You are open-minded, tenacious, caring, committed, ethical, and professional.
