Postdoctoral Researcher in Organic Bioelectronics

il y a 4 semaines

Gardanne, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France Institut Mines-Télécom Temps plein
Mission Overview

In the context of cutting-edge scientific research, the postdoctoral fellow will develop innovative instrumentation to record the ion mobility of PMIECs by analyzing frontal (de)doping mechanisms. The primary objective is to create computer-controlled, synchronized, and automated systems for extracting key physicochemical parameters from PMIECs using Python programming. By combining spectroscopic data from project partners, this research will contribute to establishing engineering rules and optimal structure-property relationships of PMIECs, optimizing the transduction operation of OECTs. Additionally, the postdoctoral fellow will fabricate devices, benefiting from technical support for OECT manufacturing in a clean room. They will analyze key figures of merit using developed instrumentation and electrical/electrochemical characterizations. The final objective is to create neuromorphic circuits based on OECTs, a fundamental building block for organic electronics artificial intelligence.

Applicant Profile

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in instrumentation and spectroscopy, materials science, or electrical engineering. They should be able to work in a collaborative environment and propose scientific investigations at the interface between physics and materials science. Past experience in (Bio)Organic Electronics is advantageous. The following skills are required:

  • Previous experience in driving/developing instruments for (opto)(bio)electronic devices
  • Skills for interdisciplinary work and multidisciplinary collaborations
  • Autonomy and initiative
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
Hiring Conditions

The position is a postdoctoral contract in public law, with salary fees according to the rules defined by the Institut Mines Télécom. The position is open to all, with accommodations for candidates with disabilities.

Work Environment

The missions will be carried out on the Provence Microelectronics Campus in Gardanne (13) in Mines Saint-Etienne. The postdoctoral fellow will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Benefits

The postdoctoral fellow will enjoy the following benefits:

  • 49 days of annual leave (leave + RTT) for a full-time executive package
  • Public transport costs covered up to 75%
  • Sustainable mobility package
  • Staff home (sporting, cultural activities, CE benefits for leisure and social time)
Application Procedures

Application files must include:

  • A letter of application
  • A curriculum vitae detailing teaching activities, research work (10 pages maximum)
  • Letter(s) of recommendation
  • The copy of the PhD certificate
  • A copy of an identity document
