POSITION SUMMARY

NOV Process Systems is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Reliability and Safety Engineer to enhance our team.

In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary contact for all aspects related to reliability, maintainability, availability, and functional safety. Your expertise will guide our initiatives in root cause analysis, warranty oversight, field assistance, digital advancements, preventive maintenance, and condition assessment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary resource for all Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Functional Safety (RAMS) activities, including vendor evaluations.
  • Lead investigations into root causes, warranty processes, field assistance, digital integration, preventive maintenance, and condition assessments.
  • Collaborate across various projects and locations from initial phases through to delivery and post-delivery support.
  • Promote and implement cutting-edge operational techniques, including machine learning and automated facilities.
  • Act as a technical liaison for digitalization and automation stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on real-time monitoring, preventive maintenance, and risk-based maintenance strategies.
FUNCTIONAL GOALS:

In your area of expertise, you will:
  • Continuously share knowledge, experiences, and insights with the organization.
  • Conduct RAMS assessments and calculations, utilizing appropriate tools and software.
  • Lead and execute root cause investigations.
  • Perform calculations pertinent to warranty oversight, preventive maintenance, and condition assessments.
  • Collaborate with the team manager to develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and templates.
  • Establish and maintain a Process Systems database containing RAMS data, punch list items, and failure reports.
  • Support field operations and oversee onshore/offshore activities related to Process Systems products.
  • Implement solutions leveraging the latest advancements in operational methodologies.
  • Assist stakeholders in achieving project objectives within budget and timelines.
  • Support project engineering leads and managers in design and execution aligned with contractual and client requirements.
  • Stay informed about international standards and regulations, keeping the team updated on relevant changes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • BSc degree in relevant fields; additional qualifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
  • Certifications for onshore/offshore operations and readiness to renew as necessary.
  • Over ten years of experience in project execution, ideally within the oil and gas sector.
  • Familiarity with international standards and regulations (IEC, ASME, API, ISO, NORSOK, EU directives).
  • Experience with specifications from major oil companies.
  • Extensive 'office and field' experience in process technologies such as:
    • Hydrate Inhibition (MEG)
    • Gas Dehydration (TEG)
    • Gas Sweetening (Amine)
    • Water Injection (SRU) / Produced Water
    • Separation
  • Strong advisory skills in technical matters.
  • Innovative and proactive mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in both team and independent settings.
  • Solid understanding of project management tools, procedures, and systems.
  • Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
  • Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts is advantageous.
