Product Test Engineer

About the Role
Molex is seeking a skilled Product Test Engineer to join our Industrial Automation Platform team. As a key member of our sustaining team, you will play a crucial role in creating, launching, and supporting manufacturing processes for electromechanical products at selected contract manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our cross-functional design team to develop and implement production workflows that meet demand and produce high-quality finished electromechanical goods.
- Work closely with contract manufacturers to set up and document production processes, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Participate in the creation of design requirements to support viable manufacturing processes for new product introduction (NPI) projects.
- Develop and commission production fixtures to support the test of electronic PCBA's and industrial IO products.
- Engage with contract manufacturers to support the transfer of products across different sites or address production issues with existing product lines.
- Work with outside vendors to create specialized tooling to support production requirements.
- Document and perform first article inspections (FAI's) against the production flow within the NPI workflow.
- Investigate and source technologies that can improve production efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- Studies in Electrical, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
- Experience in manufacturing electronic and electromechanical products.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers, machine builders, developing qualification plans, performing acceptance runs, and verifying the rollout of processes for mass production.
- Knowledge of C or Python programming language.
- Ability to travel internationally (expected: 5-15% of time depending on need).
