We are seeking a Trainee for Virtual Validation of Hydrogen Storage System Components to contribute to our R&D initiatives. This role is based in our Bavans center, where a dedicated team is focused on pioneering solutions for sustainable mobility.
Internship Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive methodology for modeling and validating the mechanical performance of hydrogen storage system components.
- Ensure correlation between simulation results and physical testing outcomes.
Your Contributions:
- Define critical load cases for hydrogen storage tanks and prioritize testing scenarios.
- Establish specifications for component and subsystem testing to evaluate mechanical characteristics.
- Oversee the testing process from planning through analysis of results.
- Conduct assessments of test results against finite element analysis (FEA) to enhance simulation methodologies.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer through the creation of guidelines and internal training sessions.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong interest in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) methods (experience with Abaqus/Ls-Dyna and Hypermesh is a plus).
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to learning.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on practical problem-solving.
- Curiosity and independence in work style.
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
