Position: Senior Structural Engineer

Join a dynamic team at Fondasol, where your role as a Senior Structural Engineer is vital:

  • Operate autonomously or collaboratively with the engineering teams to provide solutions for various structural challenges.
  • Focus on projects including subsurface structures, infrastructure, industrial buildings, and other civil engineering endeavors aligned with your expertise and interests.

Your collaborators in this position:

  • Leverage the technical knowledge and experience of your colleagues, benefiting from their team-oriented approach across all organizational levels.
  • Utilize the expertise of our technical management for enhanced project outcomes.

Core Responsibilities:

With the backing of your team and department leadership, you will engage in all project stages, working closely with your team, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • During the initial design phase, actively contribute to tender submissions, perform preliminary sizing with contractors, and assist in budgeting to establish precise pricing.
  • In the execution phase, finalize designs in collaboration with contractors and project management teams.
  • In the detailed design phase, supervise the project from calculation notes to reinforcement drawings.
  • Throughout each phase, maintain open communication with clients, ensuring compliance with timelines and budgets. As the project lead, identify any additional design requirements for project clarity and sustainability.
  • Guarantee the technical integrity of your studies, provide necessary technical support to your team members, and mentor junior engineers.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possess an engineering degree or a specialized Master's in Civil Engineering with a minimum of six years of experience in a comparable role within an engineering firm, evidenced by substantial references in civil, architectural, subsurface, or industrial projects.
  • Skilled in Eurocodes and finite element analysis, along with familiarity with industry-specific calculation tools and the Office suite.
  • Exhibit strong listening abilities to comprehend client needs and proactively adjust recommendations to meet their expectations.
