Within this department, you will be a member of the Group CUO Operations & Transformation team, a strategic function within AXA GUO and AXA GIE. This role is designed to enable the GUO organization through partnership, collaboration, support, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and simplification.

Your Job and Daily Responsibilities:

Job Purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to create and facilitate enablement across GUO and GIE, focusing on various topics such as AXA GO/TDO, Global Business Services (GBS), Data Procurement/Ai, and Finance. You will also provide support on operational and ad-hoc priorities during colleagues' absences.

Context & Major Challenges

The newly formed Global Chief Underwriting Office is responsible for establishing and driving profit and growth through Product Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio Design, and Technical Underwriting Excellence in collaboration with AXA Entities for both Commercial and Retail sectors.

The CUO Transformation & Operations team, led by the Head of Group CUO Transformation & Operations, is tasked with executing the CUO strategy at all levels.

Key Accountabilities

You will lead initiatives and provide support to the GUO Head of Operations and Engagement, collaborating closely with all members of the Group Transformation & Operations Team, GUO team, and necessary entities to facilitate teamwork across departments.

This role will serve as a key facilitator to address the requests and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders. You will also oversee high-level projects and coordinate complex and confidential information to aid decision-making, necessitating strict confidentiality regarding sensitive business and employee information.

Your responsibilities will include:

AXA GUO Engagement:
  • Leading and supporting GUO engagement with Group functions, addressing both day-to-day and strategic topics.
  • Acting as the GUO IT Demand and Project Portfolio Manager in relation to GO and GIE IT.
  • Defining GUO 'demands and needs' through process analysis and design, scoping business requirements, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management - Leading governance to structure GUO 'demands and needs', ensuring requirements are gathered systematically and communicated with key stakeholders.
  • Communications - Ensuring proactive and clear communication with stakeholders on various topics.
Procurement and Outsourced Services:
  • Supporting the GUO Head of Operations and Engagement in GUO Procurement and outsourced services, developing a strategic roadmap to achieve GUO Technical Excellence ambitions.
Procurement:
  • Ensuring adherence to Group and/or GIE Procurement processes for all external partnerships.
  • Creating and maintaining a GUO register of external partnerships.
  • Understanding new partnerships and supporting their onboarding with Group Procurement processes.
  • Driving efficiency and identifying cost-saving opportunities through negotiations.
  • Developing clear business requirements for outsourced relationships with defined KPIs.
Outsourced Services:
  • Supporting the development of a strategic roadmap to leverage outsourced services.
  • Developing business requirements and process designs for responsibilities transferred to outsourced partners.
  • Maintaining regular engagement with outsourced partners to monitor work quality.
  • Using data and feedback to identify and resolve service issues proactively.
  • Escalating issues to Senior Management as necessary.
