Your Mission
The Global Projects Centre East (GPC East) is the hub responsible for executing all projects across Africa, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
Within the Supply Chain division, particularly in the Category Management sector, you will take charge of sourcing and engaging suppliers for umbilicals, flexibles, and cables products. Additionally, you will oversee market consultations, lead final negotiations, and prepare subcontracts for complex products within the Oil & Gas and renewable energy markets.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting commercial and contractual assessments, evaluating bid schedules, and integrating technical evaluations from Engineering, QA, QC & HSE.
- Finalizing bid summaries and providing recommendations to the Project.
- Drafting and negotiating contracts, including framework agreements where applicable.
- Building commercial expertise in the umbilicals, flexibles, and cables categories.
- Engaging in the identification of new suppliers.
- Fostering collaborative relationships with suppliers and gaining insights into key suppliers' organizations, processes, and facilities.
- A degree in a relevant field (Engineering or Business); an Engineering degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 7 years of industry experience; familiarity with Umbilicals or Flexibles is preferred.
- A solid understanding of technical issues and a comprehensive knowledge of the offshore industry and its complexities.
- Technical awareness or prior experience in managing umbilicals or flexibles subcontracts is beneficial.
- In addition to the aforementioned technical and commercial skills, the ideal candidate will be a strong team player with effective communication and relationship-building abilities, as well as a strategic mindset.
