The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Core Infrastructure team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure the security and reliability of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network access controls to ensure the security of our platform.

  • Manage and deploy infrastructure as code at scale to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of a zero-trust network defense to protect against internal and external threats.

  • Write high-quality policies, procedures, and technical documentation to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.

  • Coordinate with internal development teams and stakeholders to ensure network security principles are integrated into product features.

  • Work with Engineering and IT Security teams to ensure secure deployment and monitoring of product features.

  • Monitor and maintain all physical infrastructure, cloud data center environments, remote office locations, and respond to critical network problems to maximize service uptime.

  • Assist in various projects with network-related requirements and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills.

  • Assume on-call responsibilities and duties per the schedule.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of network engineering background, including offensive and defensive security.

  • Deep experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience with network automation tools, such as Nornir, Napalm, Terraform, and Ansible.

  • Experience in managing and deploying infrastructure as code.

  • Experience with network security management tools and techniques.

  • Familiarity with security testing tools, including performance and threat-based testing.

  • Proficient in network and security design, implementation, and administration, leveraging industry-standard platforms from vendors such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba.

  • Experience with switching, routing, WAN technologies, public cloud networking, and security.

  • Previous experience monitoring and managing intrusion detection systems and firewall devices.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing defensive security systems to protect against internal and external threats.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to perform well under pressure, with high attention to detail.

  • Strong desire to learn new technology and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

  • Highly motivated and passionate about infrastructure engineering and security.

  • Travel as required and holder of a valid passport.
