Role Overview
As a Solutions Architect at Worldline, you will play a pivotal role in the design and enhancement of the Axis payment platform, a key component of our digital services that handles over 10 billion transactions each year. This influential position requires your expertise to ensure the Axis platform remains innovative, dependable, and technologically advanced.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Offer strategic guidance and oversight to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Innovation: Propel innovation by incorporating new technologies and methodologies that improve the platform's scalability, performance, and security, aligning with increasing transaction demands and evolving business requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to convert business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Documentation and Standards: Create detailed architectural documentation and design specifications to support development and maintenance activities.
- Problem Solving: Tackle and resolve intricate technical issues with creative and effective solutions through proofs of concept, ensuring seamless platform operations.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Over 10 years in software development and architecture, with significant experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Go, Python).
- Database Knowledge: Extensive experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., Cassandra).
- Cloud and Microservices: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in IaC tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
- Security Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of security principles and best practices in software design, particularly for financial systems.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership capabilities with a talent for mentoring and guiding development teams.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in English.
