Job Title: Cloud Platform Architect

At Serco European Agencies, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our customers and partners.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cloud strategy to optimize and innovate our Earth Observation (EO) cloud platform.
  • Design the structure of EO applications and select the appropriate cloud services and resources.
  • Configure the cloud infrastructure and implement security measures following guidelines.
  • Monitor the performance of EO applications in the cloud and provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 3-8 years of experience in software engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience working on cloud projects.
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of experience, or MS with 3 years of experience.
  • Cloud architect certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the space sector is appreciated, with knowledge of Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, and Navigation.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess technological and industry trends.
  • Good knowledge of cloud micro-architecture platform using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience in using public hyperscalers.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is appreciated.
Language Skills:
  • Fluency in English is mandatory (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
